Special deliveries and rainy day fun

According to the good people of the United States Postal Service, our latest batch of fabrics is winging its way to us from Miami, Florida!
We chose the beautiful patterns above from Pat Bravo's great range of designer fabrics. We have great plans for them, including the cutest shorts for girls. It was hard to select just a few, so I think we'll be ordering again soon, this time for the boys.
We're working hard to get the new collection out, and plan to have lots of lovely products available next month. We've also been meeting with some great boutiques and retailers in Singapore, so expect to see Apple & Bird popping up in exciting places soon.

After the driest February on record, the rains are here at last. Great for the plants, not so great for active little tearaways. To stave off boredom (at least for a few minutes), we made some nursery rhyme flashcards. Our little girl loved them so much, we wanted to share.
So here is a download for you to print and cut out. It's divided into three stages - for newborns, toddlers and bigger kids - so print out the appropriate page and  have a go.
Make sure to check out the thaumatrope on page three. It's our own version of the Victorian optical illusion toy, and we've had as much fun playing with it as our baby did.

Bazaar @ Winstedt

We’re going to the fair! Apple & Bird will be attending Bazaar @ Winstedt next Saturday and Sunday, 30th-31st January.
The bazaar promises to be a fun day out for the whole family. For the grown-ups, there’s a lucky draw, gourmet food and lots of quality vendors. For the kids, there’s a playground, balloon animals and face-painting.
We will have lots of designs for girls and boys available, including some newly completed pieces, never before seen!

The fair is raising funds for Child at Street 11, which provides education and support to children from low-income families, so please help us spread the word.

Wow! We have been sewing, packing and posting frantically these last weeks to get your holiday orders out. It’s incredible and very exciting to think that little girls and boys will be wearing our clothes this Christmas!

New fabrics, designs and more

We are excited to say that we have received a new shipment of fabric and are already hard at work on our next batch of designs.
We have six beautiful prints from around the world. You’ll love the bold, funky colours from the Rainbow Garden and Punchy Pique fabric collections, as well some lovely designs from Alexander Henry. All fabrics are softly brushed, 100% cotton poplin.

We are accepting orders for halter & trouser sets, necklace sets and necklace dresses. We have limited amounts of each fabric, so if you’d like any outfits, please drop us a line soon!
We’ve also designed our first clothing for boys, a fun, nautical-themed pair of trousers. We’ll add them to the Designs page soon, so watch out.
